Hiring Local
At Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG), we are dedicated to hiring our workforce from the local community. Since 2023, an average of 73% of skilled workers onsite at RGLNG has been comprised of residents from Cameron and Hidalgo Counties.
Supporting Local Business
Since the beginning of construction, we have engaged with approximately 175 local businesses in the RGV to be part of RGLNG’s supply chain.

Community Investment
RGLNG supports local activities related to education, environment, conservation efforts and overall community development. We have closely worked with and supported more than 60 community groups through sponsorships, donations, and volunteer activities.
RGLNG is working to ensure the RGV grows and benefits from the influx of workers and business activity.
Community Advisory Board
We have established a Community Advisory Board (CAB) comprised of local organizations, businesses and stakeholders. The purpose of the CAB is to facilitate open and honest communications from various stakeholders in the RGV, with the opportunity to receive feedback from the community and communicate construction and project updates and progress.
