Safety is inherent within our core values and business. Safety is our focus and is extremely important at every stage of development of our projects, from front-end engineering and design through construction and operations. We believe that safety starts with our culture, and have adopted a Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Policy that sets forth our commitment to operating safely and responsibly, protecting the environment, and having a positive impact in the communities in which we live and work.
The health and safety of our employees and the community go hand in hand. Stop Work Authority is an integral part of our safety culture. It establishes the authority and responsibility of any individual employee or contractor to stop an individual work task or a group operation when any unsafe or risky condition is deemed to be present.
At NextDecade, we believe in doing business with contractors who demonstrate high standards of ethical business conduct and share our commitment to safety, reliability, quality, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. We require our contractors to understand and adhere to our HSSE management programs and performance standards.
