Members of NextDecade’s project team recently presented to students during the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s (UTRGV’s) Engineering Week.

UTRGV - Engineering Girls Day

Rakhi Oli, Senior Process Engineer for NextDecade, also presented her career journey and the importance of getting more girls interested in engineering at “Engineering Girl Day” at UTRGV. A big part of the future of STEM is female, and the UTRGV Department of Engineering designed “Engineering Girl Day” as a spotlight event. Hundreds of girls from high schools across the Rio Grande Valley attended Rakhi’s presentation and asked a number of questions around engineering, mentorship, challenges for women in the workplace, etc.

NextDecade is pleased to support Engineering Week and other events promoting STEM throughout the Valley. For more information on UTRGV’s Engineering Programs, visit https://www.utrgv.edu/cecs/.
